Dr. Steve Langsford has practiced in the Ventura and Santa Barbara counties since 1996 and brings a wealth of experience to our office. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Visual Science, and earned his Doctor of Optometry degree at the Southern California College of Optometry (MB Ketchum University).
While at SCCO he performed internships in contact lenses, low vision, vision therapy, and ocular disease. Since graduating he has spent over 20 years practicing primary and secondary care optometry. He has also been on the clinical staffs of multiple ophthalmology practices, including being the clinical director and executive director of a LASIK and cataract surgery center. In addition, he has also been a clinical professor at SCCO and served four years as a Trustee on the Board of the California Optometric Association.
In this office he will be performing comprehensive examinations to determine glasses and/or contact lens prescriptions and to evaluate the health of your eyes. He will also be performing LASIK co-management for those that would like to reduce their dependence on glasses. Dr. Langsford is fully trained and licensed to diagnose and treat many ocular diseases and conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, dry eyes, ‘red eyes’ / ‘pink eyes’ (conjunctivitis), allergies, ‘styes’, etc.
We are proud to have Dr. Langsford as a part of our Buena Vista Optometry family and invite you and your family to see him for any and all of your vision and eye health needs.
